Standard Benefits

Sol Oriens LLC maintains all clearances, withholds income taxes according to the W-4 information, and pays all required employer taxes such as Social Security, Medicare, and State and Federal unemployment.

Current Health Insurance Coverage

Depending on your employee categorization, you may be eligible for health, dental, vision, group life/ADD, and short-term / long-term disability insurance, an employee Flexible Spending Account, and up to a 3% employer match to your SIMPLE defined benefit contribution retirement plan.

Health Insurance: Sol Oriens maintains a competitive health benefits package through United Healthcare. This includes an in-state HMO and a nationwide PPO plan.

Dental Insurance: Sol Oriens uses Delta Dental to provide employees with a long list of dentists and excellent dental coverage.

Vision Insurance: Our vision insurance from EyeMed Vision Care, provides access to nationwide eye-care professionals, and low co-pays for eye exams plus glasses and contacts.

Group life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment (ADD) and Short-Term / Long-Term Disability Insurance: These benefits are provided through the Principal Insurance Group at no cost to most employees. They provide employees with a measure of confidence to protect family income in cases of injury or unexpected illness.

Employee Assistance Program: Sol Oriens provides an employee assistance program to all employees at no cost. This program, provided through The Solutions Group, a division of Presbyterian Healthcare Services, provides comprehensive wellness, workplace training and employee assistance programs that foster employee well-being, productivity and retention.

Paid Time Off and Holidays

Depending on your employee categorization, full-time employees may accrue four weeks of paid time off and receive nine paid holidays per year. Part-time employees may accrue a pro-rated fraction of both vacation and paid holidays, based on the number of hours worked.

Retirement Plan • Simple IRA

Sol Oriens LLC offers employees a SIMPLE IRA as a means to save, invest, and supplement retirement income. Participation in our Schwab SIMPLE IRA is completely fee-free to employees. Sol Oriens currently matches employee contributions up to 3%. Employees are immediately 100% vested in these contributions. This plan meets the requirements of Section 408(k) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954.

Reimbursement Accounts

Sol Oriens LLC currently offers a flexible spending account (FSA), to employees. These accounts provide a mechanism for the payment of certain health and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis.
