Leadership

• Mr. Lawrence M. (Mark) Fleenor founded SOL ORIENS, LLC in 2005 in order to provide the best quality technical and management talent to DOD applied research organizations and large aerospace contractors. His goals include identifying advanced technologies that are near-ready for transition into military systems and helping channel less mature technologies with effective planning, execution, and use of resources.
• Prior to founding Sol Oriens, LLC, Mr. Fleenor was General Manager of Mission Research Corporation (MRC) Albuquerque Operations. Starting with a total staff of eight people, he developed an organization with $50 million in annual sales and a staff of 200 personnel. He previously managed technology programs for the Air Force Phillips Laboratory (now Air Force Research Laboratory). A number of these programs completed basic research and analysis activities that were enablers for advanced technology now headed toward transition.
• Mr. Fleenor holds a B.S. Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico. He is an active member of the IEEE and DEPS.
